Model making is where an idea starts to prove itself. Sketches capture the intent of a piece, but it's not until I build a model, whether quick and rough or scaled and precise, that I can actually test proportion, weight, and how something will feel in real space. Physical models catch problems that never show up on a screen: a joint that looks fine in a rendering but doesn't hold, a form that reads differently at true scale. That back and forth between digital modeling and physical prototyping is where a lot of the real design work happens, long before a final piece ever comes together.
