Classical oil painting shapes how I see and build everything I make. Studying traditional techniques, layering, glazing, working from light to shadow, trained me to think in terms of depth, texture, and patience rather than quick results. That discipline carries over into my design work: the same attention to surface and material quality that goes into a painted layer shows up in how I finish a piece of furniture or think about the way light hits an object. Even when the medium changes, that classical foundation stays underneath everything, a slower, more considered way of building something up until it feels right.
